How Faithful Is Our Lord God!

This morning when I woke up I was honestly a little tired as I had an 18 hour day the day before. But the Lord said to me, “Get up! I want time with you this morning!” So hard as it was, I got up. How happy I am that I was obedient!

Today, the Lord took me to Proverbs 2: 1-7 in particular, but the whole chapter is good! Let me write out those seven verses for you. If you will receive My sayings and treasure them within your heart. Make your ear attentive to wisdom. Incline your heart to understanding: For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding: If you see her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasure; Then you will discern the fear of the Lord, and the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity.

What was amazing about this particular passage was that I have been praying for wisdom and discernment and knowledge. And here is the Lord reminding me, because all of these verses were underlined in my Bible from previous readings, that all I need to do is ask Him. I have hidden away His sayings in heart for many years now. Still, I am not always wise in my words. This is something I really desire. And so I have been praying and asking. First it was for the right family words and He even opened my eyes to Christian authors who write the best books on family relationships I have ever read. Today, though, He gave me the answers I had been seeking to a presentation I have to make with my partner in November. It is extremely important. I didn’t even know quite how to start, but my Lord did and laid it out. It was quite amazing. It will involve everyone that is attending, which is exactly how it will succeed.

As I was sharing the scripture that I had gotten this morning with my husband and then my feeling the pressure of the presentation, to say what I know. He replied that in my little grey cells (brain) I have so much stuff stored there from 36 years of recruiting that he was confident, I would put it together. I have always been so fortunate to have him so supportive of me and what I do. He was so confident. Then later as I began to speak with my partner and this all came together (of course after I had read him the same passage!) all I could do with every idea was say, “thank you, Lord Jesus.”

So all of this is just more confirmation that He is going to continue to heal me. I am better today. My blood pressure was lower this morning than in a long time. I am starting to walk carefully, unassisted, for short distances! Really great after 22 days!

I hope my techie friends like my title! But truly I feel like God gave it to me yesterday when He began speaking to me about coming back to the blog and about what I would be writing. He said first an apology was in order: and it definitely is! I never have the right to use this blog to spout off about my own feelings or political agenda especially when those feelings expressed in the way in which they were, would never have been expressed by Jesus Himself! So I definitely apologize!

Next, He told me about some of what we are going to be talking about-first-my absolutely fabulous weekend with my dear sister from Florida who flew in so that we could go to Women of Faith this weekend. Now if you have been reading me for more than a year, you know all about WOF, but for those of you who do not know, please let me tell you that if you are female, you should stop reading this right now and go online to Look and see if any of the dates left in the year are near a city near you. If so, I would tell you that you should let nothing stop you from going with every female you can tell/talk into going with you. And even if you go by yourself, you will make friends! You will be astonished and astounded, laugh till you can’t anymore, cry like a baby, sing with your whole heart and that’s just the first night!!! Then you go the whole next day, Saturday. It is something I look forward to all year. My sister and I have been going about 10 years-maybe more-we are not exactly sure. All we know is that nothing we are doing in our lives keeps us from going together to a conference. Can you tell we highly recommend this? So if you haven’t gone to one and can, please, please for your own very special good–I promise you this conference is made for us females in a way that no other conference has satisfied–for me, anyway.

So let me tell you first what was the most  important thing I heard over and over all weekend?  Our God is just absolutely  in love with us, His people!! He is NOT Like the Principal or Headmaster spanking you or punishing you or handing out demerits! That’s not Who God is! He is our loving, most generous, heavenly Father Who wants to do good and wonderful things for His Children. Yes, I am hearing those of you who don’t have a good father image in your background and so say, ” I don’t trust that image.”  My earthly father or stepfather beat, abused, abandoned, sexually abused, didn’t provide for, was a drunk, was a hypocrite, emotionally distant, didn’t love me enough or at all, whatever else that person did who hurt you. I am here to tell you that God is more than enough of a FATHER in every way to take the risk with Him that He is Who He says He is.

Luke 1:37 clearly proclaims ” God can do anything!”

This was the theme of our conference and I have to admit, we saw and heard it in every story. We heard about it when so many people were raising their hands, asking for prayer for giving their lives to Christ for the first time. And then as I watched in the last presentation of music and video as my Christ Jesus was crucified, I thought, is there anything in my life more important than Him? Nothing can be! Because of what He did for me I must, absolutely must do as He directs, whatever it is. And so my title…

I can tell you that I don’t know exactly where and what God will do with us this year, now. We are praying for the correct where, why, what and how. But of this one thing I am sure. Wherever, however, the Whoever doing the leading will not be in doubt. Sometimes, rebooting and refreshing is good!

May I thank everyone for praying for my back? It is better. I had a series of injections, including trigger point all down my leg because the part of my  back that is messed up connects with my sacroiliact joint which  is on the lower side of the spine. The muscle and ligaments in the region are exceptionally prone to injury. And the doc thinks mine were injured along with my back just being sprained when I was tipped over backwards during a security pat-down at the Chicago airport. So this last procedure on Tues, the 22nd was terribly important as they really don’t want to give me anymore injections. This is the best I have felt for as long as I have. Tomorrow I start physical therapy. That too is the Father’s provision for me. For some reason, my policy does not require a co-pay for PT! so even if I have to go 3 times a week to start, I can! I certainly could not have paid $120/week! Our Lord does go  before us and prepare things for us even before we know we have need of them! How very thankful I am, I was when I was told! How quickly I remembered from my  Bible study lesson in Matthew 7: 9-11  “Which of  you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him?”

Anyway, the Lord was listening to me last week and answered a great need! I am so grateful! This carried over to my business as well! and then to be so incredibly blessed by Him at the conference and wait till I come back to you again with what I am learning from Matthew!!

Another Update As I Am Still Playing Catchup!

I have continued to see all of the different doctors that you see after a pulmonary embolism-henceforth referred to as a PE. Of course everybody’s got a different opinion of how long I take the Coumadin for and how much! I just listen and know that when it’s time to stop, I’ll know. I have gotten good reports though-people are truly amazed at how fast I have recovered.  That’s a God thing I tell them. He had a different agenda in the hospital, so I think that is why I wasn’t as damaged as I could have been. My Lord does take really good care of me. I don’t worry anymore even about my meds and someday not being able to have them. He’s said not to worry about it. So I won’t. I am sure He has a plan.

I have talked with some great people this past week as the Lord continues to bring new friends into my life. I also had the opportunity to watch my Lord answer prayer.  On Saturday, I got an email from the Gospel for Asia Group. Their senior missionary had been kidnapped by terrorists who were asking for a very large ransom.  The group has a policy of non negotiation-period. So they emailed everyone on their email lists-told us what had happened and asked us to pray. Because truly God was the only one who could help this man be released unharmed. ALL other victims had been slaughtered.  So my husband and I prayed. I asked Jesus again to honor His promise of John 14:13-14-knowing that of course this man’s release would bring great glory to the Lord God of Heaven and Earth. I asked Him to whisper the man’s location in someone’s ear that could find him, because I knew that God knew exactly where the man was. He wasn’t lost to Him.

On Monday morning I got another email, Here was the great news I had been expecting! The terrorists had released the man, unharmed!!  Unheard of? Unbelievable?? well only if you don’t know my Lord God. So to HIM be the glory and the honor forever and ever amen…amen.

I hope that anyone who knows me would say I belong in bed right now! I agree! I was! But then this little problem I have with coughing and asthma has decided to interrupt my sleep tonight. It is not so bad that I think I am in trouble, but bad enough for using my nebulizer–so here I sit. I had been disappointed that earlier I hadn’t had time to post tonight and I have so very much to be thankful about this week and today–so I am glad for this opportunity regardless of the reason.

Today was the most awesome day! It was sharing day –the last day of our Bible study class until next September. This is the day when different women from different groups get up and tell the rest of us what God has taught them or done for them this past year. Oh I did want to speak this year!  But I had spoken last year-so it was important to give this time to others. It really was glorious hearing about the miracles that God is doing everywhere. And how a woman had prayed for her husband salvation for over 40 years to see him come to Jesus!  Thank goodness she never gave up!

After the 2hour session, we went to our group leader’s home for fellowship-lunch.This time I was asked to share what was going on with me–I do think I have an exciting job-as a recruiter, I have a chance to make a positive difference in someone’s life every day. I also get to share Jesus so many times. God sends me prepared hearts because He knows I will share His Good News with them. I got to do that every day this week. I also just simply had a good week hunting as I call it. And then yesterday, I spent the day with my client who was in town for a few days of vacation. She asked me if I could take off a day. I said, well, you hired me to search for your  company. That sort of makes you my boss. Can I take the the day off, I asked her? So we spent the day at the beach-of course talked business but inline with how I do it it with the Lord. It was a wonderful time. Somebody who likes hearing my stories! We will see what tomorrow will bring- now I am going to try and go back to bed.
