So Much Is Going On!!

Posted by Cindy H French on 09/07/2014

As I had what I hope will be the very last reconstructive surgery a week ago, I recouped over Labor Day weekend reading books, posts on FB and the internet and listening to the news.

I watched Shephard Smith about break down a few weeks  after the airliner was shot down over Ukraine, the border jumpers in Texas in particular, and the volcanoes erupting. Since then we have had Ebola kill thousands, ISIS become a major threat to the world, Putin continue to flex his muscles, volcanoes continue to erupt, illegals still are jumping our borders. The United States has seen two of its citizens beheaded by ISIS, in retaliation, they say, for our bombings, pitiful as they are. Yet America by and large continues business as usual. Oh we rail against our “Muslim President who won’t hit his Muslim brotherhood unless he just has to.” We rail against our Congress-yes that means you Congress Representatives and Senators for only caring about getting re-elected, not anything about doing the business of government. but other than that, what do we do America?

I watched a news program this morning. They had started off talking about the fact that this is a Christian nation, founded on the principles of God. Which is in fact truth, it was. Then they went on to talk about how our nation is a “melting pot” and we have every religion here. That is true. But as far as I know, in our constitution nor our Bill of Rights, does it demand that we bow down to somebody else’s idea of “their” religion or no religion. I believe that our courts, our judges, our attorneys who continue to pursue this line only pursue with the threat of a nasty eternity hanging over their heads. God says He will not be mocked and all will find out soon enough exactly who is King of Kings.

In Matthew 24 the disciples have come to Jesus privately and asked Him about when the things that He has prophesied will happen. First, he tells them that all of the stones that make up the temple building will be thrown. It happens 70 yrs AD and as for the “end of the age? pay attention: Starting with v5 For many will come in my name, claiming, “I am the Christ” and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it hat you are not alarmed. such things must happen, but in end is still to come. Nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All of these are the beginning of the birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death and you will be hated by all nations because of me. at that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.  Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

If you want to know about the end of the world, all you have to do is continue to read the chapter. Jesus was very specific about the coming events.  Even in verse 32, Israel becoming a nation (the fig tree which it is called here), He prophesied and truly, 1948 Israel was reborn as a nation. Jesus talks about His coming, that it will be as it was in the days of Noah. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage up to the day Noah entered the Ark and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. But do you remember why there had to be a flood at all? It was because God had looked down upon the earth and had seen “how great man’s wickedness had become.” That is how it will be when Jesus comes. Two will be in the field, one will be taken (the believer) and one will be left. Jesus told us to be ready. Are you ready?

Thirty five or forty years ago, I read a book named  Tortured For Christ by Richard Wurmbrand. It made a profound impression upon me. Just in the last year, I have come upon the organization he and his wife (Sabina who also underwent severe persecution, torture and imprisonment for Jesus’ sake). It is called The Voice of The Martyrs. I have read several of their books and stories through their newsletters. Please check them out at http://www.persecution.com  Another organization that I think very highly of is Gospel for Asia. I get their books and newsletters too. These organizations, along with Samaritan’s Purse are acting as the hands and feet of Jesus all over the world. VOM and Gospel for Asia are actively involved in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know enough about Billy Graham’s son, to believe that while the organization Samaritan’s Purse, takes take of the physical body of a person, it is always also ministering to the spiritual. Jesus said for what gain is it to have your life for a short time here, but lose for eternity?

So I would ask you again? Are you ready?  Or are you one of those people I speak with day in and day out that are empty and missing something vital in their lives but they just don’t know what exactly it is? God says “If you seek you will find me.”  I am living proof.

BURNED NERVES!

Posted by Cindy H French on 07/25/2013

Well, I had so hoped that my life in the fast health lane and quit for a while and I do still have high hopes for it, but today, I suffered through the burning of the nerves in the facets (joints) in the vertebrae in my lower back. I had 4 nerve blocks previously, but nothing lasted very long. Having had to endure all kinds of pain in my life, I still say that nerve pain is the worst. So when I finally saw Spinal Pain Specialists associated with my hospital and introduced to me by my daughter when she was getting her own block for a herniated disc issue-totally different from mine, I was amazed by the exam  and their conclusions. And really so far the treatment has been borne out by where the last 2 blocks that they did were placed.  I just would like to change positions –in bed, in and out of a chair,  and regain  my ability to stand or walk for a while. The doctor says I will get all of this back! and Without Surgery! Today I just had some Twilight sleep, they call it. What I hadn’t expected was hurting when I woke up! I didn’t with the others,  but to burn nerves, bigger needles are used and go through muscle and  so the “side effects”. But if it works…WOW!

Prayer requests oh so many and I don’t exactly know how to write them so that they are anonymous-prayer for a dear one that all that needs to be remembered and done-in other words keep all the balls in the air at all times, so that absolutely nothing falls. for another dear friend, continued healing, someone’s dad diagnosed with cancer, for all the planned Bible Studies that will start up when school starts back, including my beloved BSF. For us to find a church home where God wants us, for my daughters-one a new job and the other a solution to her “back” problem. And for our nation, I am with Billy Graham, America can come back to God! All we need is for God’s people to pray!

G’night and God Bless!

Cindy

A Heavy Heart

Posted by Cindy H French on 10/19/2012

This morning as I continue to read headlines that remind me of Bible prophecy in some ways makes my heart heavy and sad. Sad because I know of so many that are turned away fron the Lord God-so many who are going to be surprised and caught unaware, unprepared.  And then there are all those I don’t know, but know of. All I can do is pray and exhort others to pray. Are you praying regularly, those who are following me? I don’t believe I spend enough time with the Lord and am getting up earlier and earlier to do so. What I have found is a beautiful peace around 5-5:30 in the morning. I always have to let the puppy out if I get up and so I get to see the stars still in the dark sky and that without all the other lights on they shine a little more brightly. It makes it easy to begin to worship. When I see all those millions of stars and think of our Mighty God putting them in place one by one and knowing them by name, it kind of blows you away-seriously if you really think abut it. And since I am studying Genesis as you all know, that’s what I am thinking about still.

This week we were all the way into Cain and Abel. It was interesting to really do a study on them, because I had always thought God a little unfair when it came to them. What I forgot of course, is that He knows the heart and exactly where that sacrifice is coming from. Give a little, give a lot-that doesn’t matter to him.  It’s where it’s coming from in your heart. He’s been dealing with me on the same subject. How very hard it is to give that tithe when there is no regular money on a monthly basis.  And yet not to do so is a lack of trust on my part, is that not also true?  So while, that tithe may go to particular ministries vs “the church”, God knows that wherever He something here, there or yon, it has been taken care of. What little I gave last month to one of our ministries helped a woman with 15 children. I didn’t even know about her until I had already given-but not earmarked-and this time,  because I was with the leader was actually told how it would be spent and on whom it would be spent. I was so thrilled to know. This woman takes in the unwanted children. The police bring them to her and she does her best to care for them. This is one of our African ministries. The other one I had mentioned-the sewing classes where we teach the women to sew and they can they make garments to be sold and so can provide for their families. In those instances, they have been widowed or just abandoned by their husbands often with 3 or more children at home and no means of support.

I realize that the African continent is not exactly our neighbor. But with the world at our fingertips, it has become like our neighbor and how can we stand by and do nothing? This reminds me of the parable of the Good Samaritan. In Luke 10:30, Jesus is speaking to  an expert in the Jewish law and he has asked Jesus what he must do to have eternal life.  Jesus answered with a question-What is written. The expert of course quoted,” Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind  AND  Love your neighbor as yourself.”..he should have stopped there, but then he asked who his neighbor was …and you all know the story –The man went down from Jerusalem to Jerico and fell into the hands of robbers. They beat him and stipped him and left him for dead on the side of the road.  A priest came by- saw what happened and passed by on the other side of the road ignoring him. So too did a Levite, but then a Samaritan came on road and he saw the man and took pity on him. He bandaged him up, got him to an innkeeper, left money for his keep and care and said he’d give him more if he required it on his return… Which of the three people do you think was the man’s “neighbor?” So when confronted -all I can do  is all I can do. When the Lord leads I give what little I have…and trust Him to make up the difference.   All this just from Cain and Abel and a few million stars!

I do urge you if you are not involved in some kind of mission to get involved. You have to be hands and feet somewhere or Jesus will say” What did you do with your life that I gave you?-Trust me He does say that. He said it  to me in a dream in 1993. It was a waking dream from anesthesia. I had had an asthma attack while under and so woke up with a tube in my throat. Ever since 1993, I have been in a Bible study and I have been back in church and been sharing what God has done for me. I know He’s real. You know that too if you follow me. But we can’t just sit here in our comfortable American homes (while we have them anyway) and not be hands and feet in some way. Check out World Vision. If I could do one more thing. That would be it.

One more thing and yes I don’t intend to stop until the election is over. I read with interest a memo that has been release by Billy Graham’s office about the election.  He is simply asking people to vote remembering our God, the unborn, and our Christian principles. I pray he is not saying too  little too late. I read that awhile ago He had suffered through a visit from the man in the W..house-that they had prayed together!!!how do you pray with a muslim? Keep on PRAYING  AMERICA. THE BATTLE IS NOT LOST, BUT NEITHER IS IT WON! GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE!
